Plastic waste thrown carelessly reaches rivers and oceans, harming animals, birds, aquatic life, and ocean greenery that provides nearly 70% of our oxygen.

‘Sagar Mitra Abhiyan’, is an initiative to help children fall in love with the Ocean, broaden their horizon and outlook and keep their inner Karuna Sagar active to protect the ocean greenery and aquatic life.

Owing to the student’s participation, not just the families, but housing societies, few village gram panchayats, city corporations (Pune, Jalgaon, Sangli, Nashik) are also adopting/exploring the Sagar-Mitra approach and Corporations (Cummins, Umicore, Suzlon, Arcelor) are supporting through their CSR to be a part of this initiative.
